Who are we?

SBV Services (Pty) Limited was established in 1986 by the three major banks at the time in order to optimise operational savings through co-operation between the banks in respect of processing and secure transportation of bulk cash. Retail cash processing and ATM services were later added to our service offerings.

We have since evolved into an independent commercial company and are now equally owned by the four major banks in South Africa. By embracing change and the utilisation of our industry expertise we have been positioned at the forefront of our industry as a sophisticated, independent company with a focus on cash risk management. Clients that benefit from our services range from the major retailers and banking institutions to fuel retailers and wholesalers located nation wide.

In recognition of our excellent risk profile we have been rated by Lloyds of London as 'the CIT Company that best manages its risk, in the world'. We have also achieved a 98.6% service rating, which is attributed to: the quality of staff and training provided; the investment in technologically advanced vehicles as well as superior intelligence networks.

Our third generation vehicles have extremely high levels of protection and have been rated as amongst the best in the world by both Armscor and CSIR - a testimony to our commitment to retaining our profile as a leader in the cash risk management industry.

At SBV, our drive for excellent service delivery has been entrenched in our culture and our service levels are world class. As a result, we are the preferred and trusted partners of the banking industry and an approved CIT service provider for the South African Reserve Bank.
