SBV confirms that a cross pavement cash-in-transit heist took place in Tsolo, Mthatha, Eastern Cape today. Two guards where tragically killed while on duty. The driver of the van is safe. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
SBV’s Risk and Compliance team is working closely with the SAPS to apprehend the suspects. SBV takes exception to loss of life and is offering a R1 000 000 reward for information that leads to the successful arrest and conviction of the perpetrators involved in this attack.
Counseling is being offered to colleagues and families to support them in this time of grief.
SBV is also offering a R100 000 reward for information that leads to the successful arrest and conviction of the perpetrators involved in the cash-in-transit heist in Dalport, Pietermaritzburg that took place on 2 July 2018. In addition, the company is offering R100 000 reward for information that leads to the successful arrest and conviction of the perpetrators involved in the cash-in-transit heist in Hammanskraal, Pretoria that took place on 2 July 2018.
SBV appeals to members of the public with any information on this attack, or any other cash- in-transit crime, to notify the authorities immediately.
