Houghton, 26 March 2026 – SBV Services confirms that a shooting incident involving an on duty SBV Services Protection Officer and a civilian occurred in Kuruman, Northern Cape, on Wednesday, 25 March 2026.
Mark Barrett, Group CEO of SBV Services, says:
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident and extend our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased. SBV takes this matter very seriously and is fully cooperating with the South African Police Service as the investigation continues.”
