R1 million reward offered: Colorado Park cash-in-transit attack
Houghton, 23 December 2020 – SBV Services is offering up to R1-million for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects that attacked an SBV team at the Colorado Park Shopping Centre, Mitchells Plain on Monday the 21st of December. Mark Barrett, Group CEO of SBV Services says “we are offering this reward in response to the senseless shooting of our colleague and to ensure that all of the individuals involved in this attack are brought to book and feel the full consequence of the law. Our colleague has been seriously injured and remains in hospital. Our thoughts are with our colleague and his family during this traumatic time.”
Mark warns criminals that SBV’s investigations team will ensure that the perpetrators involved in these attacks are arrested and sentenced. “We work closely with the SAPS and never close a case until there is a consequence” says Barrett. “We echo the appreciation of the SAPS and the local CPF to community members who bravely detained one of the suspects and extend our sincere appreciation. Two other suspects were also arrested but three remain at large. These suspects will be apprehended. Barrett adds, “We extend our thanks to the paramedics at the scene and the medical professionals at the hospital who are providing expert care for our colleague. During this second wave of COVID-19, we know how busy hospitals are and we are appreciative of the continued support that SBV, and the citizens of South Africa, receive from these dedicated professionals.”
